Here we have an illustration spread from a children's storybook that I created as a class assignment at ol' MCAD. I didn't include the text (I figured it would be a nuisance). It features one of my unnamed species; the characters include Shalthan (the rather vain male in the foreground admiring his reflection) and Elfa, his good natured and very patient mate.
I have 3 finished illustrations from this book and all the roughs. Nearly days straight of work, large pieces, acrylic, watercolor, and gouache. In regards to these characters and species... copyright April Schumacher |
