I'm ashamed to say it, but it can be no other way... this piece will
not be finished in time for the Spectrum 17 competition. I repeat:
This will not be finished in time for this year's submission deadline. That said, I have all intentions of finishing it properly for next year. So don't you go booing me yet!

This will need months of polishing before I am satisfied with it.
This concludes my disclaimer for those who are likely to ask about it.

Again, more progress. (And here I thought I'd sworn off stating the obvious!) Progress is very slow, for a host of reasons. Besides, most, if not all of you should know that these sorts of works also require time for reflection. You don't just hammer things out like so, at least, not all the time. I go in bursts where I can work rapidly, but there needs to be spaces where I ponder the piece in between. Again, obviously.

I will give my brief apologies now to my commissioners for taking on this project at the same time. It will be put on hold in hopes that I find some time to work on your commissions.

Enough of my yapping.
