Here we go!

This is a rather poor capture of this [link] revised and tweaked and tentatively "finished." I feel that it has certainly come a long ways, and now I am waiting to see what I should polish. Usually at this point in a painting I walk away to think about it, and come back to it later so I can properly see the work for what it is. It can make a great deal of difference. It probably needs more highlights (the photo is a bit lighter than the actual painting in places, due to the reflective nature of acrylics). Though it is getting to the point that I won't be able to adjust much more.

Already I've played with the highlights, deepening the shadows (thank you, ultramarine blue! ) and also adjusted the structure of the face, particularly the muzzle, to make it more accurate as far as a depiction of the breed is concerned. It's at least closer than it was, at any rate.

So I guess now I am asking you whether or not I have made this happen. It's been a real challenge, one which I am glad to have faced with all the determination that I had. But I've been working on this for long enough, and will only spend a few more hours on it at the very most.

(Oh my goodness, I hate having to paint my name so small, why does my last name have to have 10 letters?!?)

That said, let me know what you think of this. Critiques and comments are all very welcome.
