Artist's Comments

Yes... sometimes I feel that acrylics are going underrepresented here... maybe I don't keep my eyes open.

Either way, I support Golden Acrylics 100%. Yep, I'm pimping a product, but don't worry, I'm not getting paid for it. I just love them to death and can't really stand using anything else.

So there you have it....

If you want, you can use it. Of course.

I'll have to try Golden sometime then :)

I'm clueless about the quality of acrylics and what to expect from them. Currently using Atelier interactive as I heard they were good ^^

I just know I hate those brands that need several layers before they appear 'full-colour' Spent way too much time and sanity on those cheap acrylics

I normally use Golden for airbrushing  I loves it

Oooh I've never used Golden before. I usually stick to Liquitex (probably murdered the spelling there x.x)

started using golden cause thats what they said to use in college. but i later found Galleria by windsor newton to be more preferable. i haven't painted in forever but i think they are not as thick. :)

Before you go out to change the world, ask yourself, what do you realy want?
:iconpallanoph:
If you have the opportunity, I'd recommend it. I use the "heavy body" variety, and one tube goes a pretty long ways, if you paint like I do (I'm a bit of a paint miser, I guess :giggle: )

I can't remember if I've ever heard of Altelier... but I HAVE spent a few years working with those crappy acrylics that are nearly worthless... ick!
:iconpallanoph:
Oh yes indeed! :) (though I've never airbrushed, I have heard that they work quite well.) They're so amazingly versatile, too!

A friend of mine uses both Golden and Liquitex... he had started with the Liquitex while he was in high school, but once we were in college he took an acrylic painting class (this was something I envied him for, and still do to this day) and was prompted to purchase some of the Golden variety. He talked about how great they were, and a few years later I caught on. So glad that I did!

I can't say that I've used Liquitex myself, though, heh heh! ^^;

One of my friends really likes them, if I remember correctly. She described them as being "creamier," I think...
:iconcricketwings:
Liquitex is all they sell at my local art store x_x
But I think I might try Golden now, if I can find a local seller!
