Artist's Comments

A character from a novel in progress, featuring various mythical races... Here, my revisitation of the pegasus, a creature I feel has been overgeneralized for perhaps a bit too long... I've tried to make them a bit more "practical" ie. making them carnivorous, cloven hooved, more avian anatomical features, etc... and such.
100% gouache on illustration board, feathers, feathers, feathers...
