I told you more sketchpiles were coming. (Anyone bawwing due to lack of colored submissions yet?) I haven't even been able to manage more than 15-20 minute personal sketches, and those are hardly worth uploading. So more commission sketches it'll be!
Here we have *Domyr's chimera, Jade (on the top), who is a delightful blend of deer, bat, wolf, and fox. The bat wings attempted to trick me again, but I think after two commissions including such structures, I'm finally learning. I think the trick is to not draw them while flying. I hope he looks menacing enough!
Tsu, the oriental dragon beastie on the bottom was commissioned by *Domyr for *tsubelle and was more tricky to place in that space than I care to admit. (Also, I notice I'm unintentionally drawing things facing left again, ugh.) Lots of flow, and a lot of strands to keep track of!
These make for such good exercises, though I fear my color skills are getting rusty. They'll be put to work soon enough, though, so don't fear.
very lovely! the creature on the bottom is my favorite. the silhouette is really beautiful and the whole form is very esthetically pleasing i think. plus the face is just adorable! great work!
I like the different animals being combined, especially in the chimera. It's nice to see something unusual like bat wings, they look accurate and definitely help give the chimera a "menacing" air. Overall just a nice set of sketches
If I didn't mind the mess and had lots of space, I'm betting she'd look much more alive in a large-ish charcoal drawing. But I'll make do with these smaller pencil sketches instead. Thanks!
