Floof.
*clears throat* This rather involved doodle was the product of a few breakroom sessions and late nights. It's Jin, again. But as a kirin once more. This was an exercise in a few different things, I assure you. For one, I was getting to know my brush pen a little better, as well as the Moleskine sketchbook which has been reserved for more serious minded doodles. However, the Moleskine didn't seem all that keen on accepting the ink in certain areas. I think I'll blame my hands for that... you see, the paper was resisting the ink. As if I don't wash my hands enough. AUGH. But I did my best around these areas, though now I think they resemble printed woodcuts in texture. Jin is sporting more impressive antlers and tusks here, but otherwise he's not changed much. You can find the first sketch of him here: [link] And now........ good night. *headdesk* Comments, questions, critiques, etc. are always welcome. This is an amazing and definitely rather involved sketch. Thats insane! I always enjoy the views and angles that you draw from. You keep us guessing and moving around the creature and I love it.
