Moment of Clarity

Description

This "painting" actually depicts how I feel about said painting at this moment. (I'm having technical difficulties involving software at the moment, and have been driving everyone mad with it since it started up 2 days ago. You poor souls, I don't deserve your patience!) Hopefully, I can find a way to beat the Photoshop/Wacom tablet union into a peaceful and reliable one. If not, there just won't be anymore of this. Like it'll be missed... Fff.

This was a graphite drawing that I wanted to experiment with in Photoshop, much after the manner of this piece: It was also an experiment in the emotional expressions of my pallanoph species: Here we have (the antagonist) Tirlag at his wit's end, realizing the enormity of his losses. He has nothing left to cling to, and is cornered and weak with grief. Nharath and Adelaide, who have him at their mercy, see that he is a mad, pitiable creature, with fear and sadness in his eyes, and fury in his heart. (I promise I will try not to write him as cliched as he sounds... x_x)

Photoshop CS3/graphite, with some marble texture downloaded from CG Textures.

The Usual Disclaimer Statements: Pallanophs are not wolves, (omg y not?11!?) nor are they related to canines of any shape or size. Please don't put him in collections designated for such animals, he won't like the company and it makes us sad when peeps don't read. Reading is the future!!!!

Yes, I'm still working on commissions. All in due time.

I agree, the eyes and facial expression really convey human like emotion.
