I hope you're used to the black and white flood I've been spewing for the past I-don't-know-how-many- months. I'm still churning through the sketch commissions... If I'm lucky, I might even crave painting once I'm done with this round. SURE.

Here's a gryphon styled after the magnificent Philippine eagle, as commissioned by ~SteampunkTyki The design didn't come out as unique as I'd originally hoped (augh!) and I wanted to put just a few catlike features into his hind end, even if they're hard to see. I guess I was too caught up in getting the bird half of him to look recognizable. As much as I love Philippine eagles, I'd never drawn one before! D: Either way, I loved drawing this beastie. I want to do my own little take on gryphons more often.

Fantastic! If nothing else, I'd consider your tail style to be pretty unique, plus this beauty has a lot more feathers and a lot less fur than typical gryphs I've seen.

I was really caught up in getting the eagle part of him to look correct, since they're such distinctive looking birds. The gryphon part of him almost ended up being an afterthought by comparison! :lol:

My copyright statements just seem to get more and more snarky... I didn't want to go that route, but it just keeps slipping out of me as of late. So many people nab my things without even asking anymore, and even if I'm level headed about it, it's still awfully rude! I'm glad you appreciate the snark, though. :D
