Another line art commission, this one for =Draenian of her character, Rhais. I told you there was going to be a small flood of these. And no color! I have a right to torture you, I suppose. :lol: I will be keeping these smaller commissions open until further notice.

I rarely draw anthro (except I have to show you silly were-noph at some point) so this was a fun little exercise. It's also a pretty good excuse to practice more human anatomy and clothing. I have so much to learn! That aside, I'm pretty pleased with how this turned out. It helps the character was fun to draw. :D

To =Draenian I hope he looks alright! :dance:

All of these line art commissions are done in India ink with a 108 Hunt nib on bristol vellum. I couldn't do it digitally to save my life. :B

Rhais belongs to =Draenian

Forgive me if this sounds like an inane question, but these are all done with dip pens? :noes:

Oh yes. :meow: For me, they're the only way I can get a lot of variation in line weight while using only one nib. Microns and felt tips are all very well, but you've got to have a ton to get different lines, and they seem a bit pale in comparison to bottled india ink. (I also like to make things hard for myself. :XD:)

Aha... I asked because I'm learning to use dip pens at the moment, and find them incredibly hard to get the hang of, so something like this seemed very masochistic. =p They're pretty awesome when one can use them well though.

Excellent! :D I am jealous of the way you draw paws. :nod:

A good excuse to practice the anatomy and clothing eh? It looks flawless! =D I'm especially envious at your skill drawing the hands here, the pose itself is strong and interesting too and the...tail floof... :wow:

I'm definitely intrigued to see this silly were-noph one day! ;P

I love drawing hands, even if I can't always get them right. :D There are so many poses I'd like to try out, but don't always get around to doing it.

I ought to post him one of these days, if people can stand yet another sketch on the pile!

Eh. It's better for my eyes if there's no color :<

Sometimes I feel the same. :nod: Though in my case, it's because I can't always sum up the will to paint. ^^;
