Long overdue line art commission for =FireMaster13 of her fox demon character, Riyoko, and her companion, a Harris' hawk. 75% of this was drawn with a good hand. First I broke my best nib, then my ink bottle failed me (leaked/sealed itself permanently shut) and I failed to remember to pick up/try a replacement ink until just this week. My hand is not at 100% yet, but... I hope it didn't ruin it too badly.
I tried playing with the line weights a bit more here, to help with the perspective. Feathers can be tricky to ink without them looking overworked, though this is a line-art commission, not a fully rendered piece.
To =FireMaster13 : Sorry this took so very long! I hope it was worth the wait. (She was fun to draw, though I didn't really know what to do background wise, with them being in the sky and all... *heh heh*)
I just saw this in my inbox and got uber excited! I really love the fluidity between the two characters and couldn't enjoy the relation more. You drew them wonderfully, despite the complications. I'm glad you enjoyed it. This was certainly worth the wait. Thank you so much!
I'm glad you enjoy it! I was very worried about getting two winged creatures to share a space without it looking awkward or being implausible. Wings take up so much paper space!
Oh, it still manages to catch and send ink flying now and again. That's part of the reason I was so worried about using the crowquill nib so soon. Thanks!
Good... because my hand didn' seem to want to go anywhere I wanted it. I have taken the stitches out, and it's still tender and puffy, but hopefully that'll go away soon. And if not... Yaaaaaay!

And thank you for your wonderful patience.
