Ah, so sorry for the blood....
An illustration for my novel in progress, where Tjardek, an assassin, finally sees how blind he was in his loyalty to his lord. He murders the Teirnlord, then commits suicide, out of shame for his actions.
Really a very sad moment... the Teirnlord was at the end of his rope and looking for a way out when Tjardek arrives. All in vain, as he quickly finds his once trusted assassin is to be his executioner.
I realize this is very very dark... but it's part of my novel.
Neither character is a true antagonist, and this is just my depiction of how misunderstandings, revenge, obsessions, etc etc. can end so horribly. Fortunately, both are mourned in the end, as they should be.
