A digital piece, and with a background, of all things!
This here was a gift for *aaronpocock who has so graciously tolerated and encouraged me from my first month here. Critiques, comments, just saying hello, even doing a lovely sketch of my pallanophs... [link] I've really appreciated his support. I think I owe this to him! I really hope he likes it! (Since this is a gift art, I'll not be offering this as a print.) Photoshop CS3, textures from scans from my own watercolor/acrylic work. Art (C) April Schumacher (pallanoph) |

Tenth Doctor: Look at you! The hat, the coat, the crickety-cricket stuff, the ... stick of celery, yeah ... brave choice, celery, but fair play to you, not a lot of men can carry off a decorative vegetable.

Wow, April I am at a loss for words! I... I don't even know where to begin! I love this so much! I'm with `Saimain, it looks like all those years of traditional work has translated into your digital style
The texturing is simply divine. I love that you've applied your own scans. I've never considered that, but it's a great idea
I think my favorite part of all would have to be those feet. I used to own an Umbrella Cockatoo, and you got those scaley-feet and claws just so perfect. I can very easily imagine them, gripping that tree tightly (the strength of bird feet amazes me!). Well done
