Wolf Tattoo Color Study by pallanoph Wolf Tattoo Color Study by pallanoph
A not-so-quick color study for ~Pinkvoid's commissioned tattoo. The digital style doesn't really reflect the final (most likely in watercolor and ink), so imagine that the final looks a bit more like this: I'm a photoshop hack, and fail to grasp the concept of digital media in general, so now that you know that... HOORAY! (Though digital is useful when you're hashing things out real quick before murdering an unsuspecting piece of paper.... and tweaking levels/comp/etc.)

Other notes: please don't use this for your own purposes, specifically since it is a commissioned work, and furthermore, I am currently closed for commissions. I am utterly swamped. :fear:

Oooo yes! These colours are great! The wolf doesn't blend into the trees at all

And a good thing too, since I'm already starting with the final. Only trouble is getting pigment based media such as watercolors to more or less match up with light-based pixel displays. :XD: Fingers crossed! (And while I'm here, thanks for the valentine! :aww:)

Thanks! :D I'd really like to paint a bonsai at some point. (Since I'm sure they'd die if ever I could afford to keep one...)

I love how he emerges from the pine trees like that. :) Excellent job! :D

I always do enjoy even your simpler works  The front legs look a bit long, though? Really loving the trees, you have so much variety in your drawings *__*

Quite possibly... I'll see if I can get the linework adjusted before I start. :)
