Yl by pallanoph Yl by pallanoph
EDIT: Updated 11/14/10. Added some more transparency effects, hopefully feels a bit more translucent now. :)
---------------
At long last, after far too many months... (seriously!) I've tentatively finished this piece. :la:

Here we have the charming demon, Yl, who belongs to ~MistingWolf. This beast is semi transparent, which should explain why it blends in with that background. (Just in case I managed not to pull off that illusion, ha.) :XD:

This character is an intense thing to draw, I tell you. Throw in COLOR and it's mind blowing, I swear I was terrified of making a ghastly mistake and not being able to correct it. Except for some not so nice areas, I'm rather pleased with the final effect.

Winsor and Newton Artist's Watercolor on Fabriano Artistico 140 lb hot pressed watercolor, 14"x17" (35.5 x 43 cm).

Character ~MistingWolf
Art April Schumacher.

MistingWolf and I were talking about making a reference sheet for Yl. Do you think we could use this image in it as long as we give explicit credit to you for the artwork?

Loving the rest of the piece too, I love your watercolour skills. Beautiful vein-y texture you've got in the background (particularly the area under his right forelimb).
Just a lovely piece overall! :D
